Ratings Explained

We work on the tried and tested 'rating out of five' here at Unspooled, a system which accurately depicts what we thought of the movie we've reviewed.  But instead of using stars, chainsaws, fish or grandfather clocks, we use spools.

At the bottom of each review will be the Unspooled rating of up to five spools.  Here's how the spools translate into real terms:

:Rubbish

:Fair

:Good

:Very Good

:Superb!

We don't do halves, we don't do a zero rating and we try to always be objective.  However, new Kevin Smith, David Fincher or David Cronenberg material may make this impossible.
