Background.
I am a freelance writer with a huge love of film. Over the years I have edited a horror movies website, written reviews galore and watched way too many movies, but have never found a website I wanted to write for - or one I had a reasonable chance of getting in to anyway. So eventually I decided to start my own site and this is it.
Equipment.
For DVDs, I use an LG DVD recorder, the RH188HS, connected by Crystal Audio HDMI to a Samsung R-series 40» LCD screen. Sound is Dolby Digital 5.1 or DTS via a Yamaha receiver and Dali floor standers front and rear plus a Quad center and a 10» Yamaha subwoofer. A PlayStation 3 is used for Blu-Ray and is again connected to the screen by a Crystal Audio HDMI cable at 720p/1080i.
